The 54th Founding Anniversary of DU MCJ Department

The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) of Dhaka University celebrated its 54th founding anniversary on August 02, 2015.

The event began with a colorful procession led by the Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, brought out from the base of Aparajeya Bangla in the morning.

Professor of Florida University, USA Oan Oanta will give a lecture titled 'Changing Effect of News Media' on August 04, 2015 (Tuesday) at 11:00 am.

A colorful procession led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique, also a faculty member of this department will be held on August 06, 2015 at 11:00 am. A special lecture and procession have been arranged on behalf of the department.

On 2nd August 1962, the department started its journey through Diploma courses, but now the department is offering undergraduate, postgraduate and even PhD degrees.

Many of the students from this department are keeping their evidence of talent, guessing, qualification, skill and professionalism in various media in the country and abroad. Students of the department have playing a pioneer role in the case of modernizing the journalism career in the country.
